WebJun 23, 2009 · If it is anywhere from barely recessed to sticking up a bit, start with a washer first, then move to welding a nut to it. Clean any coating off the washer 1st. I like the washer idea. I weld a dot on the stud and then an allen wrench,or a nut. I will have to try out the washer thou. Thanks..
