I am getting +12 volts (wired direct to battery), white wire (key) has +12 volts in the run and start position. Also tried running a ground cable directly from the battery post to the throttle body with no change.

I think that they realized pwm in the ecu was building too much heat and was killing the ecu. Pwm was the reason for power on the orange wire unlike some of the other systems.
